Stockport, United Kingdom - Systems integration specialist Sella Controls Limited is pleased to announce the contract award by Arriva Rail North (ARN) of a three year framework contract to deliver Station Improvement Works across the network.
The framework has been awarded as part of the Station Improvement Fund (SIF) works being undertaken by ARN as part of its franchise commitment. The framework is based on a two year fixed period with an option for ARN to extend for a further year if required.
Under the framework, SELLA CONTROLS will be required to tender against other framework contractors for work packages. These work packages will combine the addition of Customer Information Systems (CIS), Public Address (PA), and Passenger Help Points (PHP) equipment across the entire ARN station network. The works will also include the delivery of CCTV and TVM support services to assist ARN with their overall enhancement programme.
Since the framework commenced in July 2017, SELLA CONTROLS has already been awarded two work packages covering twenty stations and work has already commenced at a number of station locations.
Chris Elliott, SELLA CONTROLS' Business Development Manager for Rail commented. “Being awarded a framework contract by a train operating company is a great honour. At SELLA CONTROLS we see this as a testament of our performance on previous projects of this type for Arriva Rail North and previously Northern Rail. The successful award immediately of two work packages for the framework provides our SISS delivery team with a great opportunity to repay that faith and to build on our excellent reputation in this field.”
SELLA CONTROLS have steadily built their SISS Telecommunications delivery capability from the ground up since 2009. This started with a minor CIS project for Thameslink and has grown to a multi-million pound SISS contract delivery business.
Sam Butcher, SELLA CONTROLS' Senior Project Manager for SISS added. “Over the last five years the depth and knowledge of the SISS delivery team has grown as the projects have become larger and more complex. We have developed a strong working relationship with our delivery partner PICOW Engineering and our greater understanding allows the teams to work closely with sales to produce the most cost effective offer to the client”.
The SISS capability forms part of SELLA CONTROLS overall rail business delivered from its Ashby and Stockport Offices.
