Rail Industry system specialists working together to support Central Line Communication Control Systems
Stockport, United Kingdom – Systems integration specialist SELLA CONTROLS has been awarded a contract by telent Technology Services Ltd to provide annual third line support services for the Central Line Communications Control System (CCS).
The contract forms part of the Communications Maintenance Services contract that London Underground recently awarded to telent. As main contractor, telent supply first line maintenance activities for communications assets across the London Underground network.
SELLA CONTROLS built and commissioned the new Central Line CCS solution, using its integrated Tracklink® SCADA application for telecommunications. Having carried out the initial 18 month direct maintenance services agreement, London Underground (LUL) transferred support to the main Communications Maintenance Services.
telent were already maintaining many of the communications elements such as CCTV. LUL were looking to simplify the contract, putting all CCS related support under one supplier, providing end to end support. LUL awarded the main contract to telent Technology Services Limited’s maintenance service team, based in East London. telent will carry out all first line maintenance activities with SELLA CONTROLS providing third line support. In addition to operational support, annual Planned Preventative Maintenance services on the key systems will be completed by telent supported by SELLA CONTROLS.

The support agreement between telent and SELLA CONTROLS will run until December 2019 when the current Communications Maintenance Services contract expires.
